Fort Masuda is situated 54 kms away from Ajmer in Masuda. The fort was originally built around 1595 AD but it deteriorated fast and was in ruins very soon after. It was later restored and renovated by Nar Singhji Mertia (1583–1623). The magnificent fort now stands tall and has multiple compartments like the Kaanch Mahal, Bada Mahal, Chandra Mahal etc.

I visited here on the occasion of my friend marriage ceremony.. This fort is in behind of my friend's house. The estate Masuda was founded by Thakur Hanwant Singh in 1557 AD, grandson of Rao Viram Deo of Merta, himself grandson of Rao Jodhaji of Jodhpur. The fort of Masuda as it stand today has been built in around 1595 AD on the site of a ruined fortress and township. The fort had been restored in its present from by Nar Singhji Mertia (1583- 1623) who traces lineage from the family of feudal Chief/Mansabdars who long served the Mughal empire. The fort it seems was designed by Kisan Singh, who planned the fort as well as the township which had been a ruined site or "Ujala Dhani" At the time. The fort located at a strategic site between Ajmer ans Chitore, lies within the proximity of National Highway 11. This is a symbol of the Rajasthan history, ruling elites, warriors, a feeling of Indianism. Also this fort in its entirely is an exquisite piece of Medieval architecture.
