The city's view from the top of the fort looks very beautiful. It is very near to the Khammam Railway station.
From the top of the fort you will see a lake at a distance, which is known as Lakaram lake. This is also a very famous tourist destination of the city.

It is something I was looking for ... I'd got a glimpse of the whole Khammam city though the top of the palace ..you could've great photography , you'd get the glimpse of sun rise and sun set and importantly it's free for everyone ..

And to reach this fort we need to walk up on the steps.from fort we see the major part of the Khammam .it looks very beautiful.evening time sunset time good choice for going fort.and we seen ancient weapons some and big big pillars.
Above the fort some places are dangerous some places are don't have any safety walls.once we slip we may not be alive.so we need to take precautions care in some Places on the fort.and any surveillance cameras and any security protection not available on the fort.and single going on fort is not better for New people there is some dogs there so we need to go along with the family persons or Friends as a group.

Khammam Khila is one of the oldest place in khammam. It is popular at the of sankranthi, for kite festival as it is higest place in khammam.
Khammam is also known as 'kambham mettu' or 'Stambhadri'. Before 1953 Khammam is part of warangal.
The fort is believed to be built by the Kakatiya rulers in 950 AD.
