Anchuthengu fort is of great historical importance and it is well maintained. Compared to the other forts in Kerala, this fort lacks some typical look and characteristics of a fort. It is more like an enclosed bastion with high laterite walls. The fort also has some lookout points and there entrances on east and west. no entry fee for visiting this fort.

Nice place to see, ancient fort , from the top we can see Anjuthengu sea. Light House is nearby. Entry is Free. The tomb of Frelyes debcram is there & she is the wife of John Brabourne the British east Indian company's representative
