It is one of the huge waterfalls in Karnataka. Usually crowded in month of November- December. But in March start it was very less crowded and water flow is less. Sharing snaps of March ‘22.

Start early, so that you reach the place 'gaganachukki' . You can spend sometime there watching lush greenery and fill your eyes with Milky colour of water falling from mountains. You can smell the aroma of water flow. From there, around 12km drive where you see the 'shivana samundra' check dam. no water activities are allowed but swimming with own risk.. the water flow is very high during mansoon reason, till oct. Drive another 1.5km from here , actually you see the gaganachukki back sight see, from Durga side Drive another 2.5km from there and you reach the 'barachukki'. This is even marvelous. So, you should visit all the 3 places to complete the shivana samudra a day trip. You can visit hydro power plant if your are interested. Madhya ranga is the famous temple located near shivana samudra. Bangalore>madduru>malavalli> towards kollegal

Went here during Aug 2022 , the timing mentioned on Google is 8 to 5. But it was 9 to 5 when we went. It was less crowded . We reached arnd 9. Spectacular view and flow of water was amazing. Definitely worth visiting . There are small stalls for snacks near parking area. Also, hotel mayura is nearby for staying or having food.

....SHIVANASAAMUDRA.... Nice place to visit along with family and friends in weekend days. Nice view of water falls and cool environment with like forest. It is located 80 Kms to mysuru, 90 kms from Bangalore, 30 kms from malavalli. The nearest busstop is Kollegalla and Malavalli. Weekend with lot of enjoyment.

Nice place to visit, there are 2 falls Barachukki and Gaganchukki in Shivanasamundram. Both these falls are in 8 - 10 kms distance. If possible visit during weekdays as weekends are much crowded.
