Breathtaking view of Kanchondjonga. Free from all kind of pollution. Simplicity, honesty and hospitality of host. Fresh vegetable from their own garden (all organic) and livestock from own firm house are served directly in kitchen. You can join their kitchen if you wish to. A true home away from home. A good place to rest and stral. Best place to get away from busy city life.

A detailed review from Jan 2020 stay for two nights 1. A couple of cottages nested in the lap of Himalaya. There are 3 cottages on the road and 2 more adjacent to their own house The nearby gardens in the slopes around is a perfect place to loiter and admire in the morning. 2. The view from the balcony is just perfect. Please find the picture from my phone. In the afternoon clouds will make the narrow roads even more mystic. 3. The clear sky in the nights and the howling of winds through the tall trees of the mountains is beautifully coupled with the flapping sound of Tibetan flags, you'll lose yourself to the medieval fantasies. 4. The food: it's homely, fresh and simple. You'll not get the most exotic dishes, but you'll surely get the one with most warmth. 5. Please pay a visit to nearby Shamji Market, if nothing else, do buy a packet of local Sahara cigarettes, a pack of 20 for 60Rs. Why not to have a puff? 6. The campfire in the night: Pay RS 400 and a good tip/glass of your alcohol to Marcus (the attendant) and enjoy the tranquility around. The cracking sound of woods, the cold wind freezing your legs, the forever silence, it's all so beautiful. One last tip: Take a walk after your dinner down the street. Stay put after the light from cottages fade away and feel the vastness of the mighty Himalaya. Wish you all the best.

Ok, this IS the place to be. "Awesome" is an understatement. Serenity, ambience, food, people, location.... everything is awesome. The place, Pabong itself is very nice. Keep one thing in mind, these are located in remote areas but the arrangements they have made there is great.
