Great art fare usually on 1st Sunday of the year. Artists come with their art, display and sell it at reasonable prices too. Would recommend art lovers to go there.

It was fantastic experience for.me and my husband. We parked right opposite to Ishwarappa house. There is no entry fee to chitra sante however there is very limited parking. Planned to park your vehicle somewhere in the visinity of shivananda bustand.
There are food stalls in the collage campus plan to have lunch there if you are reaching in afternoon. We reached chitrasante at 7.45AM and left by 1pm. Crowed keeps increasing as the day passes so plan to visit as early as possible so that you can cover everything.
It is good for people of all ages but old people might find it difficult to walk.
There are varieties of painting displayed some of which include oil painting, pebble painting, glass painting, feather painting, Caricature, face painting, charcoal painting, coffee painting, pencil art etc. This year was the 17th year celebration and as a green initiative plastic was banned. Canara bank ATM is available for people to withdraw cash.
Artista can find art material and canvas to do their work. Participants are provided with food. if you are planning to spend whole day there carry multiple water bottles and somewhere in Malleswaram afterwards.
We enjoyed a lot

It is wonderful treat for art lovers and also a good opportunity for the artists to showcase their talent. This happens once in a year and we can see a lively environment around the flea market.Need to work on controlling the crowd and the traffic in and around kumarakrupa road

An absolutely fantastic day out to see all the incredibly talented artist in India. This is a must visit for any Bangalorean.
What to expect:
This is the biggest art festival in Bangalore where some of the most diverse and interesting pieces of art are in display and many are for purchase as well. It’s located in the Kumara Krupa Road and the entire road network here is blocked. This is perhaps one of the most crowded I have ever seen Bangalore in terms of number of people.
Types of Art:
Paintings, sculptures, live portraits (at super nominal rates), ear rings and accessories and handicrafts. The painting range from mini palm size to greater than life size. Perhaps the diversity of the art is what makes this such a special event.
Food/Drink:
There are plenty of street vendors here offering just about any snack on offer - corn, puffed rice, veg sandwiches, ice cream, salad etc.
Summary: (4/5)
Drop by the next year around and enjoy the gorgeous art festival of Bangalore city.
