Thane railway station is one of the busiest station in Mumbai. It is one of the important junction in the Mumbai for local train and exoress train as well. From Thane to CST Mumbai train track is the first train track strted by Sher Shah. Which is the Platform 1 of Thane Station. Here the train for CST starts from here only, so people boarding at Thane get seats from this station only, which is rare from other platforms. From platform no 1,4 and 6 , trains run towards CST. In line 4 slow and in 6 fast train run. But the crowd is more in platform no 6 and 4 as compared to train which starts from platform no 1. Si the chances of getting seat in train running in platform no 4 and 6 is rare because they come from Kalyan / Dombivali/ Karjat/ Ambernath / Titwala etc. Sometimes from platform no 3 also train starts for CST.
Platform no 2 is for going to Kalyan / Dombivali/ Ambernath/ Titwala. Platform no 5 is for going to Kasara / Karjat/ Khopoli.
Platform no 7 is for express train. Platform no 9 and 10 for going to Vashi/ Nerul / Panvel.

Its one of central lane of station where useually train run from dadar to thane lane .
About this station i would suggest its good station and nowdays people are very aggresive to being neat and clean so evveywhere almost clean at station with protective with govt.security guard force.
At this sation there is so many ticket counter facility to make faster and easiest to travel by ticket.
And there is atvm self ticket machine also and that machine at over the bridge also even some atvm machine at ticket counter also so people can make fast tarvel.

And one important things like at this station one canteen facilitey also for take your breakfast and lunch .

One of the major railway station in Mumbai suburban corridor. Connected with Central and Trans Harbour line. Long distance express trains also halt on the station. Platform number 1 only dedicated to trains going to CSMT.
Platform number 2 to 6 available for slow and fast locals.
Platform number 5 to 8 dedicated for Express and mails.
Platform number 9 & 10 dedicated for Trans Harbour line (Vashi, Nerul, Panvel).
Food options available on every platform.
Railway station connected with the free wifi service provided by Google.
Clean Washrooms available.
Getting in and getting out of the station is easy. So many entry and exit points are available.

Thane is a major railway station on the Central line of the Indian Railways System It is a part of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Its also one of the busiest station in Mumbai. More 1000 train pass through this staion every day. And almost every train halted on this station. The station has ten platforms; platform numbers 1 to 3 are reserved for slow trains platform number 4 serves both slow and fast trains and platform numbers 5 to 8 for fast trains & long distance trains, 9 and 10 for trains going towards Vashi, Nerul & Panvel. And you'll be amazed to know thane station handles around 600000 people daily. Rest bus stop just next to railway station and you'll get cheap food on the street nearby and hotels as well.
