One of the busy and important area of kolkata,.Metro station is located nearby it and many more places like metro pharma, "Chaitanya mahaprabhu museum" , food stall , metro pharmacy, cloth store ,bata showroom and many places , Shyambazar is a 5-way crossing it connect howrah-sealdeah, Barrackpore and many places

Shyambazar Five Point is a very crucial, popular and crowded crossing in North Kolkata. It connects a total of 5 different roads, and at the center remains a statue of late Indian freedom fighter and hero of the nation, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, on a horse. It is a very useful landmark for someone new at the area to navigate to the different parts of the large city. It is also a heritage architecture.

The Subhas Chandra Bose statue located in Shyambazar five point crossing is one of the most important statues and landmarks in Kolkata. The statue was sculpted by Nagesh Yoglekar and was unveiled by Kolkata Municipal Corporation in 1969. In 2008, during a project initiated by Hooghly River Bridge Commissioners (HRBC), this statue and its surrounding area were beautified.
