The average width of the river channel was 382 metres (1,253 ft) and the narrowest cross-section 330 metres (1,080 ft). It is uniformly narrowed to 263 metres (863 ft) without affecting its flood carrying capacity and the riverbed land is reclaimed on the both east and west banks to construct 11.25 km long riverfront. It can hold 470,000 cu ft/s (13,000 m3/s) without spillage. The total of 202.79 hectares of land is reclaimed. The reclaimed land is used for public as well as private development. More than 85% of the reclaimed land will be used for public infrastructure, recreational parks, sports facilities and gardens while nearly 14% will be used for commercial and residential purpose. Nearly 26% of the reclaimed land will be used for the parks and gardens to enhance environment and for public recreation. Some parks are already constructed and expanded while others are under construction and proposed One of the Best place for tourists, children, older peoples ... You can do here cycling, running, meditation any other many activities..

It's nice place to chill out, fun and enjoying the peace of mind. There are lots of amenities like garden, paly area for children, walking track beside the river, shop for ice cream, people can enjoying boating at there also. Also nice place for get-together of friend , families and others too. Also good for amazing photography of river and besides constructions for sitting area and also for walking area. You can also do the cycling over there. Besides the river there all most all the festival are celebrating. Like uttarayan ( kite festival ), holi, flower show, and so many other festivals. It's one of the famous place (in ahmedabad) of gujarat . And yes it's most favourite place for all amadavadis. ,?☝️?

It is one of most peaceful place in Ahmedabad. There is many activities u can do or just relax. The activities are cycling, boating, speed boating, flower garden. It is the place where everyone can chill out. Here is the icecream shop situated at river so you can enjoy riverside movement with icecream. It covers almost 10km area so different different activities are going on at riverfront. There is not much restroom are available. Outside food are also allow. Go for picnic is good decision.

Sabarmati is the only river which has been decorated in this manner in the entire country. Waterfront on the Banks of River Sabarmati i.e RIVERFRONT is beautiful place in Ahmedabad I use to spend lot of time cycling there when ever I go there. Bicycle is available on rent for hourly basis, one can have a beautiful ride on the bank of river with a stretch of 11 km .There are few Gardens on the Banks where family time can be spent. My sister's house is just beside the river. The view from there in the night is mesmerising. Lightings in the night is awesome. The best part is every festival is celebrated on this bank mainly Utran, kite show use to commence on this Eve. If you visit Ahmedabad this should be first place as per me to visit.
