I didn't feel any attraction here. Historical place but not managed properly. Only a small area is accessible. As per my suggestion, don't waste your time here.

The Fort is situated in Devanahalli which is around 30 km away from Bangalore. The Fort was built by Malla Byre Gowda in 1501 who belongs to Vijayanagara empire, which was later renovated from mud to stone structure by Hyder Ali in 18th Century. It's a huge Fort which covers a long distance around the place which acts as a guard to the area. Tourists are allowed all the time. There is no entry fee or such. You can go around the fort and walk on top of it and explore the view points from top. There is a small town inside which also has Venugopalaswamy temple built in Vijayanagara style. There's a small memorial of Tipu Sultan which signifies his birth place in Devanahalli. It's a very historic place which is maintained by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) Board. The best time to visit it is early mornings and in evenings to have a peaceful walk around the fort and the nature!

DEVENAHALLI fort a good spot for photoshoot
Pros:
-Very rarely we come across legendary place like this. The tiger of Hyderabad ruled thisnplace. His son Tipu Sultan born in Circa around Devanahalli also ruled from here.
-Historical fort worth visit at least once.
-Location wise it is easy to find.
-some constructions going on to restore certain parts of fort.
Green pastures and rock walls serves good background for pictures.
No tickets no checks open for anyone
Cons:
-not for every one, some may find it boring.
- walls walls walls everywhere
- parking car is an issue if crowded.
- not much to see
- maintenance required as well as govt. should bring attractive tourist spots on these walls.

It’s a nice historical place which is ignored by government and destroyed by people. There was trash everywhere even though a dustbin was kept. One section of the wall is being repaired but mostly it is ignored. There are old carvings in rock near the vantage points overlooking the lake. Even after all this, it’s nice to visit and see a part of Karnataka’s history. Right next to it is Gopalaswami temple with beautiful wall sculptures.

It was underwhelming to see the fort. No upkeep, plastic waste littered around and no information other than the on plaque.
It's still worth a visit and to marvel at what was built in 16th century.
The temple right next to the fort has such intricate works done but again, jo upkeep.
