Actual village is inside ~400 mtr from main road. Accurately guided by maps. Main road has many shops that sell the crafts.

It was a memorable experience. This village is nearly 15 kms away from Puri and takes around 30 minutes to reach from Puri. This village has more than 100 houses and 800 artists. They show their artworks in front of visitors. The artworks of the artisans were really intricate and beautiful at the same time. I would recommend this place to those who are inclined towards art.

It is nice , they see u and quote u the price, there is lot of scope to bargain , art is good but u have to be careful with the artwork sometimes there are mistakes which are covered with acrylic paints. U have to check whether they r really naturally dye color used ,they use acrylic colour for that price is reduced. Depends on season too.

A village of folk art. There are about 160 families who are the artist of this folk art. Various art works mainly through the fine lines painting of the subjects from our Nature, mythological, God and Godess etc etc. Paintings are done on various medium like paper, tasar fabric, paper pulp, nuts, bamboo and pulm leaves etc. Even on metals like various metal pots, kettle etc. This village is also a famous odissi dancer Late Kelucharan Mahapatra. Some of the local artists have been awarded from various national authorities and even from President of India! People of this village are very nice, polite and well behaved. All the tourist visiting Puri, must visit the Raghurajpur Art Village and encourage them to save this Heritage Village and its Folk art works!
