The museum houses a diverse collection of artifacts, including archaeological exhibits, ancient sculptures, bronze idols, woodcarvings, and a wide range of historical objects. The art gallery within the museum displays paintings from different periods, including traditional Kerala art and works by renowned artists.
The museum exhibits a unique blend of traditional Kerala and Indo-Saracenic architectural styles. The red and white color scheme, along with intricate wooden carvings and ornamental works, adds to its visual appeal.

The Museum is grounds to the Trivandrum Zoo, one of the oldest zoological gardens in India. The zoo was established in 1857 over 55 acres (220,000 m2) of land. It also contains the Sree Chitra Art Gallery, a separate art gallery established in 1935.
The set of museums, along with the zoo, are managed by the Department of Museums and Zoos, a branch of the Department of Cultural Affairs of Kerala.

This place is truly a hidden gem! Hard to find but when you do, it is totally worth it. This beautifully designed space. Our visit was elegantly conducted and was very educational.
It was an honour to access the curated museum. We saw the factory and the skilled craftsmen at work. You could feel the vibe, the passion and the sense of aesthetics of the founder. A man of taste who you can discover through the visit. The brand is full of heritage and vision translated into the collection which they make with the most personalised experience. This is probably my favourite place in Thiruvananthapuram, just because of the amount of thinking and style that has gone into making this space and designing the experience. The Trivandrum corporation is maintaining well. Thank you thank you
