Excellent food, had Coin Porotta with Beef Fry and Mutton Perattu. All the dishes were tasty and delicious. The staff were cordial and cooperative. Parking space for cars is a concern.

The best coin porotta in Thiruvananthapuram. Porottas are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. We can feel the crunch on each bite. Accompanied by the spicy and succulent beef fry. The presentation on the banana leaf is so pleasing to the eyes.

do you want to have a kerala sadya (special yummy kerala vegetarian meals served during wedding functions) Trivandrum any day.. ? then this is the place.. go to this almost 70 year old authentic restaurant named Kumar Cafe near killipalam round about and gift your taste buds a splendid afternoon with tasty food..'made with love'.. it's evident from each and every curry that the cooks here are specially talented to make the food so tasty and wanting.. despite the heavy demand of the families waiting to have one time afternoon meals.. sometimes it's difficult to grab a seat as soon as you reach here.. as there are plenty of craving and starving stomachs on the queue.. but wait a minute.. don't be disappointed.. this is one shop, you'll be served meals even at late hours after lunch time.. we had it at after 3.00pm.. the ground floor is for the general public and the upper one is for families.. there is generally enough seating in the building.. seems like there is kitchen upstairs as well.. there is hardly any delay in serving.. the staffs there are quite busy serving the crowded seats, yet they find time to come to you and bring your food to the table.. they are friendly and service minded.. not knowing fish curry was served along with the meals which is about Rs 150, i ordered for mackerel fry as well.. so the meal became slightly expensive for me.. my wife ordered coin porotta with beef fry, which she said is quite good.. couple of things you need to remember while visiting here is.. if you reach in a car, you might have to park the vehicle outside the building, near by road sides.. sometimes you may have to park far off and walk back as the traffic here is quite busy.. but never mind.. a small walk adds to your appetite and you'll have quite a good meal to take in.. another thing is to start bit earlier to avoid the crowd.. always have half hour extra in your schedule to eat from here.. sometimes it can be delayed due to rush.. it was slightly stinking near the kitchen when we visited here.. otherwise things were intact.. the wash area is clean in general.. so good luck, go Kuamar Cafe.. the authentic meal of Trivandrum from the 50's..
