At a separation of 42 Kms from Kozhikode, Kolavipalam Beach is arranged at Kolavipalam between Vatakara and Payyoli. Situated toward the south of Murad River, this shoreline is known as Turtle Beach. It is the nearest shoreline to Bangalore City at a separation of 312 km. The turtles found in the shoreline are the well known Olive Ridley turtles. The best season to discover turtles is September. The immense extend of the coconut forests along the shoreline improves the appeal of the shoreline. This place is near Vadakara on NH17 towards Mangalore. It is associated by visit transports with Kozhikode.
