Its a best place for families for refreshment, friends for chilling out, couples for their private time, for jogging, for walking and even for sit alone and relax. A place with greenery at the heart of the city. Its a must visit place at Trivandrum for the visitors because it has many other pivot places nearby like museum, zoo, planetarium, legislative assembly etc.

Nice place to spend some leisure time with family and friends. This place offers a small cafe an open theatre for stage shows , lawns etc. Special programmes organized frequently.

The Kanakakunnu palace located at the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city plays a welcoming host to a multitude of cultural events, seminars and programmes. Its proximity to a number of important tourist sites, including the Napier Museum and Trivandrum Zoo, has made it an important part of the city. Once host to many an important gala, under the reign of the erstwhile ruler of Travancore Sree Moolam Thirunal, it is an integral part of city’s festivities and heritage to this day. It also a royal monument. It is protected by government of Kerala.

The place well known in tvm. For me its a personal fav for evening walk and exercise. If you are planning for a walk or exercise this is the best. Also there will be having programs in most days at the nearby hall nishagandhi. I really love the ambience and all. We can see a lot of people's here from all over kerala.

Wonderful place, well maintained. The lighting during Christmas, New Year and Onam is definitely worth a visit. Good place for a evening walk. They also conduct some events / exhibition once in a while.
