After Ganesh Restaurant closed down or not restarted since the pandemic. This is best place that comes to having masala dosa and idli dipped in Sambhar.
My biggest advantage of traveling local train is to cross the restaurant, eat idli, dosa here and be on my way. My love for the two dishes always put me on a backfoot on to try any other dish here.

Located at a distance of 10 mins walk from chembur station east, I have a very longlasting yet funny relationship with this restaurant. Its located along the same line of restaurants like 'Grand Central' & ' Ratnagiri'.
Funny because during Covid times this restaurant has opened many times and they closed down again after a few days. This happened quite often and whenever I visited it use to be closed.
They have some excellent quality of polite, well spoken & well mannered staff.
What we usually have :
1. Idli Sambar - 5 stars - Soft fresh subtle idlis, but just too flat.
2. Medu vada Sambar - 5 stars - Crispy and soft
3. Mysore Dosa - 5 stars - Wonderfully crispy and porus
4. Dal Khichadi - 3 stars - Too much use of turmeric, but good in overall taste.
PRO Tip : Always carry enough cash here, THEY DONT ACCEPT ANY OTHER MODE OF PAYMENT!

Very basic typical udipi place but the food tastes amazing! The sambar and coconut chutney has been consistent and very good for years. Pretty Hygienic. They accept cash only.
Parking is generally available in the lane opposite.
Not suitable for wheelchair as there are a few steps at the entrance.
