One of the known city in Kerala. Located in Kottayam district near to Palai. It's enroute Ettumanoor - Poonjar highway. The place is world famous, especially among Christians around the world as it's the place where the famous Tomb of Saint Alphonsa located. The church is under Pala diocese and daily mass is offered here. Also there is a museum of St. Alphonsa which is very interesting. The place is highly accessible with good road. Nearby railway station is at Kottayam and airport is at Cochin. Vagamon a famous tourist spot is about 40 kilometres from here. All major banks, schools, bakes shops, grocery and vegetables shops and all kind of food parks etc etc are available here. I recommend this place.

It's a small town which got famous due to St. Alphonsa Shrine and Museum. But for a good family restaurant, Automotive dealers and workshop, hospital we have rely on nearby Pala town.
