One of the most important railway junction of Central railways that connects three parts of Maharashtra to each other. Most of the times the station is crowded as many long route trains halt here. All the facilities are available and it's a very well maintained railway station

Akola Junction serves Akola in Akola district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is an important junction station on the Howrah–Nagpur–Mumbai line. There is a 5 ft 6 in broad gauge line to Secunderabad railway station and the metre-gauge Akola–Khandwa line is under gauge conversion.

This railway station is decently clean.
The basic facilities such as benches, seatings in the waiting rooms, public toilets are so clean and well maintained.
There facilities for pure RO water, foods at food stalls are okay.

It has 7 Platforms.
3 Routes Originates From Here.
1st Route is Main Route. Lies on Howrah - Mumbai Main Line.
2nd Route is Directly linked with Purna Junction Station.
3rd Route is still under construction. Which will directly link to Khandwa Junction Station in Madhya Pradesh.
Almost Every Train Stops Here for 5 - 10 mins.Except Few trains as Duronto, etc.
Every Facility is available.
