Wanted to climb and walk the Pier till the end, but since the foundation is weak, the security folks politely refused. Still an awesome view. Walked the stretch of the beach and enjoyed the ambience. The fishermen were more than willing to talk about their daily life. I wish the authorities speed up the maintenance of the Pier as it will help the fishermen with unloading from boats I would recommend those coming from the airport to park the vehicle, get down and enjoy the Pier view and the beach.

The Valiyathura beach was famous for the bridge aka 'kadalpaalam' but now people aren't allowed to use that as it's structurally unsound. However, there's a small fish market next to it where you can get fresh catch. Better to go during mornings. There is a church next to it and the famous Sangumukam beach and Beemapally mosque is also a few mins away from here.

This beach is definitely a another level. The view is just beyond awesome. Cliff makes this place a ultimate one. Less crowded mostly foreigners. Clear beach ? good for sun tan time. Plenty of shops and parking space.?
