Visited the place in mid of the March. The lake was still frozen. The place is having its own serenity, I am sure that cent percent people thinks the same way. I recommend few things before going like these high altitude places:
1. Keep High performance winter clothes and boots, though boots and jackets are available on rent but those are sometimes torn or untidy.
2. Avoid smoking totally.
3. Don't walk fast or run at high altitudes. Slow and steady will make you more comfortable in order to combat low oxygen situation.
4. Children might show mild symptoms of high altitude sickness. Take good care of them.
5. Keep handy oxygen tin with you if you are traveling with kids and older people.
6. Try to eat easily digestible foods while visiting high altitude.
7. Keep water (esp. luke warm ) to avoid dehydration.

God's own country. Can't explain in words and no words in the world can't explain the beautiful Lake. Just visit and experience. Look at the amazing pics and enjoy the ropeway which will take you @ 15000 feet.

Beautiful view and beautiful place. You can take yak rides and rent these beautiful nort eastern traditional gowns to take pictures. Loved the place.
