The tree fossil is a collection from the national fossil park, Thruvakkarai, South Arcot, Tamilnadu. It is supposed to be 20 million years old. It is of petrified coniferous tree. The National Fossil Wood Park, Thiruvakkarai is maintained by the Geological Survey of India.
