Looking for a fine dine restaurant who serves a Bengali cuisine? Then your search ends here!
4th Street dinning hall is a fine dine restaurant who serves authentic bengali cuisine. Their menu also contains various dishes from Bangladesh as well.
It is located just bang opposite side of carnival cinemas, saltlake sector-3.
They have showcased the Raj influence on Bengali cuisine through various dishes like the cutlets and kabiraji.
The Ambience over here is very quirky, accompanied with a soothing bengali music playing in the background.
Dinning under a huge table, with a chandelier overhead and some great dishes on the table. Just feels great to be honest.
Coming to the food, we have tried their-
Alur chop- just feels like you are having one from your favourite street vender. Little bit spicy, mashed potatoes mixed with some ginger, Coriander and basic bengali spices. And coated with some chickpea flour and fried till golden.
Chicken kabiraji- one of my favourites to have over here. Crunchy outside and soft and tender flavoured chicken inside.
Koraishutir kachori- please do give it a try, thin Puri stuffed with freshly ground peas, and a strong hint of cumin makes it more flavourful.
Aloo dum- it has a homely taste.A bit on the spicier side, just the way I like it to be. Topped with some freshly half ground coriander seeds
Cholar daal- it was decent to taste. Koraishutir kochuri was accompanying well with the daal.
Rice-
Lal Chittagong Murgi- it had a different taste. Not the basic curry that we have every weekend, a bit spicy. The chicken was very succulent and was flavourful. Garnished with some corriander.
Dab Bhapa Chingri- an awesome preparation. This is a must have dish for all the prawn lovers out there. The portion size was great. And the gravy was smooth and creamy.
To end this delicious huge spread we have opted for chanarmalpoa. The malpoa was the cheery on the top to this entire spread.
Just amazing please try this dish too.
Last but not the least, do visit this awesome restaurant if you are near to saltlake, sector3. You will love it .

Boho Bong's Diary by Anindita Roy S. rated it 10/10 stars and wrote:
"Bangalir Baro mash e tero parbon...."
The phrase evolves from the notion of illimitable rituals every month for Bongs. Beyond our primary calendar based occasions, we blend ourselves well with the global festivals too marking our versatility across all religions.
Moving onto December, a month full of festive vibe and excitement, it's all set to keep abundant elation for the Bong tummies to satiate their cravings amidst the Christmas and year ending celebrations.
While saying that, if you're curious about a lavish Bong Dine-in destination for family and friends, 4th Street Dining Hall would be worth a recommendation for myriad reasons.
What to look for -
The place is being urbanised, with a heritage tinge across the floor and the gorgeous chandelier, marking it a spacious dine in destination housing 50 odd seaters. The interiors portray a chic Instagram friendly look with an attached well maintained wash basin and toilet area to look for while visiting with kids and elders.
What's on the menu -
The place is specialised for it's authentic Bengali cuisine serving ala carte with decent portions in each to serve two. While gulping down, few items on the menu made it straight to my heart for it's authentic taste and perfect Balance of spices that made me emotional.
My Top picks from the list would be -
?️ Fish Kabiraji- Rs.395
?️Crunchy Fried Chicken- Rs.245
?️Kankrar Jhal- Rs.395
?️Koraishutir Kochuri- Rs.15(each)
?️Cholar Dal
?️Aloor Dom
?️Rice- Rs.145
?️Lal Chittagong Murgi- Rs.335
?️Dhakai Bhetkir paturi- Rs.425
?️Dab Bhapa Chingri- Rs.545
?️Chhanar Malpoa- Rs.115
?️Chutney- Rs.65
I must reiterate, the "Lal Chittagong Murgi" is super hot and highly recommended along with the uber fleshy Paturi, Kakrar Jhal and Fish Kabiraji.
Location : Just on the opposite lane of Carnival cinemas, Salt Lake.
Do visit and thank me later.
