Love this place, I have been here many times. It had never failed to give me peace and happiness. That too early morning with the sounds of the waves in your bed, can't just express in words.

Fully renovated excellent accommodation, all categories of rooms bang on the beautiful beach, very good variety of food, breakfast and veg buffet dinner (including North and South Indian items) included in the room tariff, comfortable quiet rooms with tea kettle, new towels, new mattress and comforter, new TV, WiFi, bathroom kit, new Carrier ac. Ours was a Suite which is Ground +1 floor, with 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, dining area on ground floor and bedroom above. Pics and details about rooms were not sufficient on the ttdc website, else there was absolutely no need for such an elaborate accommodation for a couple. We had an excellent time! Much recommended.

Good private resort run by tamil nadu govt. Has private bech and bigger rooms at affordable rates. Complimentary dinner , breakfast and swimming pool access. Swimming pool has 12 ft deep good for professional swimmers. Has big car parking place , safe to travel with family. Food also excellent, they have ala carte and buffet. Buffet lunch also available at affordable rate. If are traveling with additional person, they charge 700 extra, for which food is included. Better to book in advance and visit. While visiting, take the booking printout, as they are looking for it.

Very pleasant, peaceful and enjoyable experience. We checked-in on a Saturday and checked out the next day. The greenery is well maintained and environment is kept very clean. The main highlight is the access to the beach which is just around 50 meters from the stay. Since it's a private beach you can have a much better experience. The complimentary breakfast and dinner is good and you can order non veg if you like. The staff were very friendly compared to anyother government offices. They also provide some sports equipment to play at the beach for refundable deposit. A must try if you you are around Chennai.

This is a review of the govt run beach resort we statyed in. Its wonderfully located, and rooms across categories open to the beach, the ground floor rooms have quicker access and first floor ones have better views. The rooms were dated but fine for us , no frills but neat. The resort offered basic dinner and breakfast as part of the package and both meals were acceptable. The staff was polite at all time and there was also an entertainment show in the evening that was quite thrilling and nice. The USP though remains the location and the price point - try comparing prices with the high end resorts next door and you will get what I mean!
