Quiet and calm place that has a village like atmosphere. An abandoned pump house and marshes which were once rice fields are remainders of a rich history. Not a family spot though.

This was an exploration into an unknown territory. This place was truly in an incognito mode in Trivandrum Had to explore this place more at a more convenient time. Roads are too narrow though, however it was a lovely experience.

Beautiful place. Cool water to dive in. Wonderful and silent place inside trivandrum city..... You can feel the nature here. There is a big lotus pond near the lake with full red flowers.......Its a really great place to enjoy cool breeze, a variety of migratory birds and soothing cool water. You will enjoy swimming in the vellayani lake as the water is shallow.....i went there with my friends and almost spend three hours there swimming and enjoying the scenic beauty of the place. It was a memorable experience....
