Very calm and peaceful. You're not allowed to keep your phone turned on inside, and not even allowed to talk. The place is very well maintained and neatly kept by the various volunteers and people associated with the ashram

One of the must visit place in Pondicherry. There are lot of flower pots as soon as we enter. Place is good for meditation as the place is silent and calm. There is stores to buy the photos and books of Aurobindo. We can see lot of volunteers doing seva in the ashram. One of the thing that caught my eyes was all the volunteers use bi cycle. Using cycle is very common in this area. Overall it’s a good visit for 1 hour of peacefulness

Sri Aurobindo Ashram is one of the must visit places of Pondicherry. Commonly called as the Annai Aravindar Ashram. The temple is very close to Rock beach and Manakula Vinayagar temple(walkable distance). The ashram is open for public between 8 am to 11:30 am in the morning and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the afternoon. Other than this restricted entry to the Ashramites and pass holders is allowed between 5:30 am to 8:00 am in the morning and 06:00 pm to 10:00 pm in the evening.
Mobiles are to be switched off when we enter the premises. Photography inside is strictly not allowed. Slippers are also not allowed and there is a shoe stand opposite to the ashram. There are a number of plants our path inside. These are beautifully maintained and eye catching. The place will be extremely silent and a great place to get mental refreshment. We are allowed to sit and meditate for sometime (because of Covid restrictions this is currently not allowed). There is a book stall inside where we can buy books related to the ashram and other general books as well. They follow covid protocols strictly.

A peaceful place to visit. Phones are supposed to be switched off while entering the place. Colourful and beautiful flowers welcome you with a mild scent. There's ample place to sit and meditate as well.
There's a book store present there as well. Also, they sell pictures of some beautiful flowers. Do visit the place, it's calm and soothing.

Very popular and quite place located at main area of puducherry. Must visit place in puducherry. The ashram is well maintained and clean, people also get used to the formalities. You can feel the vibes when you’re here.
