Only domestic airport available in the Barak Valley region of Assam state of India. Need to develop the infrastructure attainments so as to have the direct flights connecting major cities of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Banglore, Chennai, Kolkata.

This is one and only a small domestic airport in Barak Valley,region of Assam State in India.Staff are very polite and friendly.Construction is going on.overall it's a clean aiport but limited food items are available in the aiport premises.Only one Bus in running from airport to Silchar town.Its better to increase the number of government buses for the purpose of convenience for passangers also Cab fare is not fixed form Aiport to Silchar Town.

Lovely airport. Small and cute. Many upgrades have been does, especially in the departure section, in the recent past. One can see the aerial view of some beautiful tea gardens during ascend or descend. Just a note, photography is prohibited in the airport, it being in defence land premises.

Silchar airport is very clean and people there are very cooperative. Specially, the staffs of Indigo and Air India guys are too nice and humble. The checking staffs are also very good. I have been travelling for many years but my journey of this week; found very good changes at inside interiors including toilet. All the best to everyone working there. We will see you again.

It's a small airport. So security check and everything is done fast. Here both your luggages will be scanned and sanitized. I would suggest to eat outside or bring your own food as not much options there. All the staff are humble and helpful
