Peshwa Chimaji appa build this Fort like temple.temple architecture is superb and strong.well detailed carving done on walls temple like Dwarpal,krishna,Sursundari. 3 devi idols looks real.you cannot take photos in Gabhara. Left side of the main temple shiv linga placed in small temple. Vajreshwari temple is well connected with Virar and bhiwandi with good quality roads.

Beautiful place... vajreshwari Very old and big temple is well maintained.. Very popular and most visited Devi temple in this region. All days the darshan of deity is allowed. It is always crowded on sunday. A must visit temples with family.

This famous temple from Palghar district is located in the town Vajreshwari. The town, earlier known as Vadvali, was renamed Vajreshwari in honour of the presiding deity of the temple. The temple was constructed by the great Maratha warrior Chimaji Appa in 1739.This temple's architecture is based on Vasai Fort. Along with the main idol of Goddess Vajreshwari maata, there are also idols of Renuka maata at her right side and Kalika maata at her left side, accompanied by Parshuram and Vyagradev idols. In temple premises, there are also many small temples of Lord Shiva, Ganesha, Hanuman, Dattaguru, etc. Navratri Festival, Chitra Amavasya and Kojagiri Pournima are the three main festivals which get celebrated at the temple as a big celebration. There are famous hot water springs in a five-kilometer radius of the temple.

Divine, peaceful place with beautiful view from top. Vajreshwari Yogini Devi temple is constructed on a hill top and has been standing as the magnificent historic symbol of Hindu culture. A must visit place.

The holy pilgrimage dedicated to Mata Vajreshwari (who said to be incarnation of Goddess Parvati), Mata Renuka, Mata Kalika and Mata Mahalaxmi is located on the banks of Tansa river in Bhiwandi city and 40-45 km from Thane. We travelled by road(on bike) from thane > Kalher> Bhiwandi> Ambadi Naka> Vajreshwari that took 1hr 15 minutes considering road conditions! Need to climb 52 steps to reach temple that gives beautiful view of village! Stay and food options are available near temple.
