It's a pleasant pocket friendly stay. The host is a gem of a person. Very helpful, polite and calm, he guided us in all possible way and helped to make our trip a success. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a basic pocket friendly stay and a polite & helpful host?

Shamans House is absolutely recommended to stay in Pondi. It is walkable distance from Rock beach, Promenade beach and the White Town. Very clean rooms with private bathroom and sufficient drinking water supply and a table/chair for working or keeping your stuff..! Absolute privacy guaranteed. Also, there are abundant south Indian and continental and french cafes available near by.. The accomodation is accessible by bus from Pondi bus stand to Gingee Salai fish market. Also, it is a safe neighborhood with warm and friendly local people. The host/owner Soumya AKA Susu is an absolute gem of a person..he is always around and is a localite of Pondicherry.. He helped me a lot in making my holiday trip to Pondi memorable and productively enjoyable. Soumya is always ready to help you with tips and local recommendation.. Reach out to him post booking and he will help you with all necessary details... Soumya bro great guy ???? Can't wait to come back to Pondi again and will always choose Shaman House as my stay..!

One of Pondy's best. If you are traveling and looking for a quiet, welcoming place to stay, i can't think of a better option. The price is unbeatable, the location too. Best of all, the host is kind and generous. Make sure to pay attention to the house rules, which are reasonable. This is good for guests who are respectful of others space and looking for a place to sleep and rest after exploring Pondicherry.
