I don't understand what's the hullabaloo about !!!!!!! The seekh kebabs are below average, the biryani is average and the mutton chaap is good, but nothing extraordinary. Service was fine, well behaved staff and fast servings. But Food, i mean I am just being honest. It's really not worth to travel so much because there is no surprise. Still if you visit there, order mutton chaap only.

One of the best places near Nakhoda Masjid to have a proper biriyani meal. We visited on Saturday and as usual it was pretty crowded. We had - Mutton Biriyani Mutton Queema Mutton Galwati Kebab Shahi Tukda The biriyani was pretty good both taste and aroma wise. The galawati kebab was soo smooth and melted in mouth right away. The Queema on the other hand was a bit average in taste and had lots of bone fragments in it. The shahi Tukda was good tho. Perfect for family visits during occasions. *DO KEEP IN MIND THAT THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH*

One of the old and famous biriyani house of Kolkata. They don't serve potato & egg with biryani. Their biriyani is very smooth and low spicy. One of the best preparation is mutton chap, but it's very much spicy. Must try food shop for Kolkata. Satyajit Ray also loved their cuisine.
