Rather a reclusive place as its not known to much people. It was serene and great place to spend quality time. Enthralled with the scenic views. Don't visit during dark hours. There's no sign to identify the place as well.

Heard a lot about this hidden gem. Followed Google map and reached to a point, after that it was confusing. Lost the road and went inside some Village. One uncle helped us to reach the point. It's at the 3rd hair pin bend from the concrete road.
At last reached at this place. We met 2 uncles at this point, no one else was there. Bit scary.
But to enjoy the views, we went to the bridge.
Beautiful views. Very calm and serene.
While leaving, we saw few more tourists. So if your are in group, u can definitely spend hours. It's awesome. Roads to reach this point goes from Wellington army area, it's very nice.

This is a hidden gem in the Nilgiris. Situated at 2km away from the Kotagiri Koonoor highway, Raliah dam is a very scenic and peaceful place to visit. Roads on the way are filled with a lot of tea plantations. The best part is the ambience of the dam. A must visit place for everyone coming to Ooty.

Coonoor Municipality Ralliah Dam is a perfect destination to visit in Coonoor. Situated amidst the forest, its few steps away from newly built concrete road. The way from the village up to the dam itself is a scenic stretch going up the hill with deep curves and hairpin bends. Walking on the dam wall is a pretty good experience and on the other side is a monument with details of the dam and a fobidden old cottage of Dam official followed by the deep jungle. Walking into the forest, one can see the big trees and have feel of the deep jungle.

Ralliah dam is located close to the Wellington road, which is around 9km from Coonoor. Most of the people are not aware of this place. It's hidden in the forest..
