It lives upto it's reputation... Must visit this place if you are in pondi. I recommend you wear foot wear if you walk these streets in the afternoon.. I'm saying this because you might want to leave your foot wear to yo visit the ganesha temple nearby and then literally burn your feet.

My recent trip to Pondicherry was nothing short of amazing. This charming coastal town, with its French-inspired architecture and serene beaches, was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. One of the highlights of my trip was exploring the picturesque streets of the French Quarter, with its quaint cafes and boutique shops. The architecture was truly impressive, with the beautiful yellow and pink colonial buildings transporting me back in time to the days of French rule. Another highlight was spending time on the beautiful beaches of Pondicherry. The white sand and crystal-clear waters were absolutely stunning, and the calm and peaceful atmosphere was the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. In addition to the stunning sights, the local cuisine was a true delight. From the delicious seafood to the mouth-watering French pastries, every meal was a treat for the taste buds. Finally, the people of Pondicherry were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making my stay even more enjoyable. Their warmth and hospitality truly made me feel at home. Overall, my Pondicherry trip was an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable travel destination.

This is a must place for French aesthetics to be seen, all the buildings and the place and the people visiting, and the vibes and everything was lovely, you need to park your bike at one end, add a location bookmark for your parking so you dont get confused for finding you bike later, and then you can walk and explore entire french colony, this is the best way to explore french colony. I totally loved it. A must visit if you visit pondicherry. There are many things in and around pondicherry for you to see and explore, all within 500m.
