They say, "Life is full of testing times and we must just have the courage to withstand it." Lately we've all been through such testing times collectively as a nation while the country was coming out of the second wave of the pandemic. So many lives and livelihoods were lost and starting or expanding your business during such a time would require immense willpower, patience and resilience. That's exactly what Mr. Manu Saxena has done. He opened Phulkaas Food Court in Musheerabad, right next to Spencers. This outlet completed its fifth month in December, which looked like a perfect time for me to check this place out and feast on some good food. Here's how it went... 1) Spinach Cheese Croquettes Price - 200₹ Taste - 5/5 [Finger-sized deep-fried snack served with a beautiful chili mayo dip. The best dip I have tasted. That dip elevates the taste of the dish to a whole new level. ] 2) Stuffed Mushrooms Price - 230₹ Taste - 4/5 [Small button mushrooms stuffed with a generous amount of paneer coated with a rich tandoori masala cooked in a tandoor. Has a good achari taste to it and is served with a mint yogurt dip. ] 3) Blueberry Smoothie Price - 120₹ 4) Honey Mint Iced Tea Price - 90₹ 5) Chicken Thaipo Price - 60₹ Taste - 5/5 [Let me introduce you to Thaipo, who's three times the size of his otherwise regular-sized sibling. Available mostly in Northeastern parts of India, especially in Sikkim, it is one of the most in-demand street food delicacies. When compared to momos other than the size, there are some minor changes to the recipe which differentiates this dish. Firstly, this one has a flatter bottom and the outer covering is just a tad bit thicker than its tiny sibling.] 6)Chicken Keema Kulcha Price - 80₹ Taste - 5/5 [Do have this with a curry to elevate the flavors. I wasn't expecting this dish to be this good and it certainly took me by surprise. But please do have this with curry and don't repeat the mistake I made.] 7) Chicken Laphing Price - 70₹ Taste - 5/5 [The Laphing has a good taste and you won't have a lot of complaints. But mind you, if you try the chili oil just like I did, be prepared to cough a little cause it has loads of chilies in it. This is served with chili sesame oil. If I have to explain this dish in simple words, it'd be when a Gujarati went to North East and settled there. The best of both worlds? Meat stuffed in a Khandvi] 8) Tandoori Chicken Momos Price - 150₹ Taste - 4/5 [8 pieces of tandoori momos with a good chicken filling and a good achari flavor overall is a steal of a deal.] 9) Chicken Sha Phaley Price - 60₹ Taste - 2/5 [The filling is great but here's the thing, because this is a deep-fried dish, it absorbed a lot of oil and that ruined the dish for me. Not every dish is going to be perfect every time and I'm sure these guys will rectify it.] 10) Thai Green Chicken Curry with Butter Garlic Rice Price - 270₹ Taste - 4/5 [If you love Thai food, add this place to your list. Super rich, coconuty curry, juicy chicken pieces and amazing butter garlic rice.] 11) Chicken 65 Biryani Price - 270₹ Taste - 5/5 [This can easily fill the stomach of 2-3 people if you are a heavy eater. Amazing quantity at an amazing price. Though I felt the rice was a little on the drier side, the chicken pieces and the rich masala more than compensated for it.] 12) Watermelon Juice Price - 50₹

I have to say, that's an Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. It can be expensive but worth it, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal at Phulkaas. I had 3 meals, with a couple of Starters. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a Yummy Dine out. Highly recommended.

Was here with my foodie friends for lunch last week. The place is located beside spencers at Musheerabad. The place is easily accessible. The place is well ventilated. We tried a lot of dishes from their menu. They are Veg Jhol momos Veg laphing Chicken laphing Sweet corn chicken soup Spinach cheese conquert Nargis Kofta Paneer lababdar Red Thai curry prawns Garlic fried rice Veg Biriyani Mutton biryani Lachcha Paratha Chicken Keema Kulcha The best was Nargis Kofta and chicken Keema Kulcha. The ambience is good and spacious. Staff is well trained and welcoming. Covid protocols are followed at all times. Parking is also available. Must visit this place.

Phulkaas is located at Musheerabad near Spencers Hyper Mart Opp to Shivnath Mithai Wala, with spacious wooden seating. We started with lassi and chickoo milkshake. When it comes to food we tried Veg Laphing bread stuffed in a jelly like sheet topped with seasame chilli oil which was decent enough. Veg Jhol momos are steamed momes dipped in a spicy gravy. Veg Biryani had an aromatic rice with vibrant colors which tasted good. Paneer Lababdar and Paneer Methi Malai had a rich, creamy, smooth and flavourful gravy which was mildly sweet. Qubani ka meetha was rich and delicious !
