The rooms and the attached washroom were beautiful.. but the remote of the AC wasn't working.. so had to adjust accordingly.. although the staffs suggested to shift to another room.. in another room, the phone and lock of the room wasn't working ... Everytime to enter the room was a big hassle... Now, coming to the behaviour of the staffs.. they were very cordial and really well behaved.. the interiors of the room and the hotel itself was spectacular.. to access to their private beach... One have to take a ticket of 20 rupees for 3 hrs or 50 rupees for the entire day... Breakfast is complementary and the food is quite repititative and not much variety is available ??⛵

Heavily disappointed and would not call it a 4 star Hotel. The website says free wifi but there is no wifi provided in the rooms. The air conditioning is faulty and the extra bed given is the hardest mattress I have seen impossible to sleep in. Paying to enter the beach is okay but tickets are only for 3 hours? Breakfast has barely any options and no order of utensils served properly unless you ask.

The Orissa state run tourism hotel is well located at sea shore and has good occupancy. Rooms are spacious, view is beautiful from here. However food served needs improvement, maintenance of the taps, flush, etc. need better attention. Generally the maintenance of property is very good.

Rooms are spacious and big enough at this price but not well maintained, free breakfast is something you might like, location is far from main beaches, if you want a quiet stay go over there, beach access is chargeable Rs 20 every time(blue flag beach), go to niladree beach 200 meters away which is free. Both of the restaurants specially Nimantran is good but if you have older people accompanying you then don't go over there, it's too much spicy, now you are of that it's ok, we will ask the staff to make it less spicy, but that not done there, I talked to staff and chefs personally to make less spicy food, despite of that we were utterly disappointed, my 70+ aged family member left dinner almost without eating, it was very heartbreaking for me. One more important thing, they don't offer WIFI.

Excellent location. But that's the only plus point. The staff is with typical government attitude. Non-maintained rooms, smelly washrooms with leaking taps and faucets. The door locks not working. AC either too cold or too warm. Restaurant was good. Breakfast was good. Location is excellent as beach is directly accessible and near to railway station. For beach entry they charge 20/- per head even though you are staying with them. This is something which is not good. Overall an OK experience.
