This is kind of a experience you want in a homestay. The very place I stayed in belongs to " The Yadav family" and was very welcoming. I came here on my motorcycle after a long ride and the indigenous bed (khatia) made all the shoulder and back pain go away in only a night and this is what I suffer in after staying in best amenities hotels after long period of riding. A must place for authentic indian experience.

Myself and my partner had a great time stopping with the Yadav family. The food was excellent and the family made us feel welcome at all times. Their english was very good and the opportunity to have a glimpse at their life was even more interesting and unique for any Western traveller. The room was comfortable and clean. The pack lunch with Surendra was the highlight of our stay. A short 30min walk to a remote part of the river was delightful and to swim in the river in the midday sun without people everywhere was a great experience in a country that can be overwhelming at times.

We stayed with Kusum and Manoj and they made all the efforts to make our stay comfortable. They even looked after my old mother when we were out roaming around Orchha. A special thanks to the family and Mr Romi for all the arrangement, love and care.

Its a good feeling to live with rural families having agriculture/ dairy/ pottery making as their livelihoods. You get to learn about their work and have local food with them. Rooms are basic but clean and proceeds of room rent directly benefits the family you live with. You can rent a cycle from them for 50 bucks a day and pretty much see whole of Orchha in a very economic manner

The best homestay experience.. Food was excellent. Stay was very comfortable. The charge is reasonable. We stayed in Feb 2017 They arranged auto for us as we were reaching midnight.
