I and wife visited O Abrigo in Jan and it was a fantastic stay. The accommodation, location (most photogenic), and food they serve (especially Goan food) - everything is amazing. Eliath's (co-owner) tips saved my troubles of finding the right spots for relaxing and eating - we really liked that guy. We also clicked with Mrs Fernandes (Eliath's mother and co-owner), so much so that we often talk about our interactions. We will surely visit O Abrigo again and again. We highly recommend it - you will leave with a warm feeling. P.S. This is also home to them and that's why it is so special. Be respectful and enjoy your stay!

Amazing property, convenient location. Rooms give u authentic goan feel and very spacious. Very clean and great levels of hygiene maintained. Host was extremely friendly and helpful. We never felt it was a guesthouse but felt like home.

I loved the warmth with which the hosts Mrs. Fernandes and his son Inayat hosted me. Inayat is a lovely human who suggested me multiple places to hang out and shared his experiences in Goa. All of it was a a great experience. Their home is designed with so much love and warmth. It was lovely to wake up to the hills that flanks the Portugese quarter Fontainhas. The rooms are well appointed but don't go looking for a corporate style hotel. Visit this place to understand and mix with local Goan people and their living styles. Mrs. Fernandes's lovely Goan breakfast spread is also one of the memories to take home. P.S. I really enjoyed the sight of Mrs. Fernandes meticulously watering her lovely curated garden in the front with so much dedication. If you are there, you will also find Grace, Faith, Love and Hope - all neighbourhood dogs - who extend you the same care that the Fernandes family greets you with.
