It was such a good experience in climbing those 250 steps. You can get a awesome view from the top. Almost entire city. Many buildings and the long sea shore view was absolutely divine. The visiting hours is 3pm to 5pm. Make sure to bring some changes to buy entry tickets. I think it costs only rupees 10 for a person. But it was a huge amount of happiness to see the city from there. And last make sure to bring some water with you.

Best place in pondi! You can see the entire town view n ocean view. Very less ticket to climb up the light house, visit timings are between 3pm to 5pm. This place is very beautiful n clam. You can spend time watching the ocean n relaxing Breezes! Note that there is no lift and you have to take stairs only

First things first: 1. There are no lifts to reach to the top. Climbing the stairs till the top is a tiring job. 2. It closes exactly at 5pm so better reach the place at least by 4:30pm. 3. The route shown by maps sometimes feel like its going nowhere but please trust google. Now about the lighthouse, although the climb to the top is tiring but it rewards you such a mesmerizing view after reaching the top. Its worth the effort. The entry fees is 10rs per head. You can see almost the entire city of Pondy on one side and on the other side its the endless sea. Definitely worth the visit.
