The legendary Mitra café is at Salt Lake city now, near water tank number 7. Feels so great to have a 100 year old café nearby. It's all so bright with space for 2 to sit inside for waiting, and around 15 single stools outside for waiting, having food etc. As usual the original taste of Mitra café's dishes you can find here. Quantity and quality and price compliment each other. Must tries are the Kabiraji's and Fish fries.

Mitra Cafe in Salt Lake is located right beside VIP Sweets, BG Block. I tried their Fish Kabiraji and Fish Roll. Both were superb, but the Kabiraji was on a different level altogether! The crisp of the batter and the surprise fish fillet inside gave me a complete euphoria-like experience. The taste still lingers in my mouth. ? I now know why they are so famous. They have another branch too, somewhere on the Shyambazar side and that's the oldest one, i believe. Looking forward to try more items next time.

Mitra Cafe Salt Lake though is a very small outlet but the food is heavenly. There are just 2 tables and not much space so take away is a good option. The service is prompt and the staff are very courteous.

The legendary Mitra cafe opened up in Salt Lake now. The usual small open space for dine in is continued in the new store too. The taste of the place is all same like the shovabazar. The place is mostly for takeout. Good food experience and must try combos for pocket friendly budget.
