a place that drips of high energy and encourages you to get wasted. it's the Hoppipola of Newtown but a tad bit grander and a pinch on your pocket. it boasts of a vast coverage, lots of space to meander in. they have a fine choice of drinks and their cocktails are magnificent. their DJ is meh unless there's a grand occasion. haven't had the chance of chomping down their delicacies smh.

Nice and a lively place to hangout. Nice collection of cocktails. Food is also very good. A beautiful dance floor, good music, nice decor and an open air space makes this place very unique. The stuffs also also well behaved. NIce place to hangout with friends.

For office parties and get togethers, the best place. And of course for new year and other parties as well. The timing we went was bad as the drinks were not available as the new year party is Ickes there. DJ and music is good. Food is fine too. Small dance floor but the entire ground floor is actually a dance floor. Enjoy!!

Malt is a wonderful and underrated pub and lounge located at Astra Towers. It is spacious, has outdoor as well as indoor seating arrangement. It spans over two floors, has DJ as well as karaoke setting for outdoors. The walls have wonderful paintings drawn and their food and drinks are of great quality. We tried the cocktails whiskey sour which was by far one of the best ones I have had in Kolkata so far. We also tried Agarwals chicken platter which came with a bowl of butter chicken and a bowl of chicken tikka masala served with butter naan or kulcha and it tastes really awesome. My friends and I were so addicted to that platter and their cocktails that we would often visit the place after office. Also, another perk of this place is that it remains empty on most days and is rarely crowded. They play good music and the ambience is also great.
