This is one of the premier Eye Hospitals in NE India. It was established by Lions Club of Silchar Central in 1997. Lions of Silchar Central was established in 1978. It is the oldest Lions Club of Barak Valley in Assam and is involved in Sight Conservation activities since its inception. The Lions Eye Hospital currently caters eye care services to near about one lac outdoor patients and performs approx 40 cataract surgeries per day. The Hospital has recently started Posterior Segment Eye Care.

Positive points - + The hospital is always available with doctors. + Hospital is located in the almost centre of Silchar City. + The behaviour of the doctors are good. + The hospital area is big and clean. + All madicine are available easily. + Good facility for the people who come with the patient for night stay. Negative points- - if you belong to lower middle-class family than the hospital is little expensive for you. - some of the wardboy or netse behaviour are rude and meen. The hospital area is in the centre of Silchar City because of that you can hear a lot of vahical sounds everytime.which disturb the patient. Thank you...
