This is old water pond built in the period of Ali Adilsha(ruler) approx 1570 for water supply and storage to Huvinkeri(Today Hukkeri) city. And now it is renewed you can not find even old stones around. Same kind of other 20 karanja's are there in whole town. Can say its water supply system of that age

This fountain (karanji) is located in front of Hazarat Peer MAASAHEBA'BI's Dargah SHAREEF. It quenched the thirst of lacs of pilgrims. Now a days it has remained just a show peace.
