It was so famous ...That people santali sampraday must go there.and many functions arranged there.mistly dance.and many stalls of hand made things.arrow and bow,bamboo flute,pitha shop.

Kanaishwar Hill is situated on the Bengal-Jharkhand border. With the hilltop supposed to be the highest altitude of Medinipur district, the surrounding places are of serene natural beauty. A big rock formation is converted into a worship place by the local indigenous people. During the Bengali month of Asharh, "Paharh Puja" is an annual village ritual with fairs and hunting expeditions organised by the village folks.
