100% worth a trip from Mumbai. The road was a little bit harsh but the caves itself repay the road. I would recommend this place to any other history freak as myself. The biggest monolithic structure carved in stone in the whole world won’t disappoint you!!

Marvelous.. big.. must see to believe what is written about it.. the painting on the thick coating is gone (including the coating on rock surface) in most places but still you can see it in few places within the temple.. it is the first cave / structure you see when you enter the cave complex..

This place shows how Indian architecture was in Ancient times.
The whole temple campus is carved out of a single Rock from mountain. Around 7000 labourers estimated to be involved in this humongous task.
This is Cave No 16 out of Total 34.
This is the largest among all.
One will be really amazed to see the huge size of this temple.
Bring kids, students, history enthusiasts, in fact everyone to witness the Caves.
It will take time to visit all the Caves separately.
Main Caves are 16, 10, 12, jain Caves.
