It is an excellent place for recreational activities such as fishing, swimming, sitting by the lake and reading . The government has started the restoration work of the twin lakes. One has all the boundaries , walls and stairs in place while rainy season has hampered the work of other. Both the Talab or Ponds are owned by the Trust of Jama Masjid Bariatu. One can fish here paying a fee of 300 Rupees for a day and 150 Rupees for half day. The fee goes to the trust of Masjid which spends it in upkeep of Masjid. This place has got to be better in coming days as beautification work will resume after rainy season.
