Had heard of Jhol when they opened but was reluctant to try it as I assumed they would be too experimental. I was wrong. Already eaten here twice in 3 weeks and will definitely be returning as they keep adding to their menu. The food is classic Indian Coastal cuisine with some innovative twists. If you are looking for a full experience, go for the Chef's Tasting Set Menu. The current menu comes with 8 courses and leaves you stuffed and satisfied. The Prawn Koliwada and Mutton Pepperfry with Malabar Paratha are my favourite. The mutton is absolutely tender and flavourful. For a unique twist their Passionfruit Panipuri and Masala Bun Maska are definitely a must try. Will be returning soon to try the Calicut Fried Chicken and Biryani.

Lovely lovely experience! Very good value for a fancy modern Indian cuisine. Not trying too hard to be “different”. Not upselling themselves. Not over priced. Solid great food - with unique elements. Very satisfying!

The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is so welcoming and warm , and makes you feel at home. The staff are 11/10 of the way they care about the costumers and how they treat you. Wanted to give an extra start for the way of treat and the food and specially the chief. As he cares about the extra food and trying to give advice of this would be too much and being honest.

Tasty and easy to eat Indian food. Southern coastal style. Appropriate portion for each dish, very nice services and recommendations from staff. We had Masala Maska Bun, Pani Puri, Kerala Mutton Roast, Chicken Butter with garlic naan (not on menu). Overall highly recommended.
