A place that I've been going to for over a decade and has never disappointed me food wise. The prawns and fried fish is lip-smackingly delicious.
We also ended up having the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala which were both on point as well.
I was a bit disappointed with the rumali roti but the saving grace was was the lime soda.
Weekends get a bit crazy rish wise so best enjoyed by planning a visit on a weekday.
Bon appetite.

First time in India, Mumbai but a strong lover of indian cousine since several decades. We were recommended Jai Jawan by another restaurant owner for true tastes of India. And boy was he right. Simple streetside restaurant serving top notch dishes at reasonable prices.
Fresh, clean, nice staff. Could improve by having more options on the sodas side but otherwise perfect.
Jai Jawan's Punjabi Prawns Fry, Punjabi Mix Veg and their Garlic Naan should all be voted in to the local food of fame!
We (me, Ingrid and Älly) will be back!

Food for non-veg lovers is excellent, It is a smaller outlet hence service is a little poor especially those who are used to spoon and fork for them It is a little difficult place but if you want to enjoy food excellent place

Location✔️
On road with parking space for 2 wheelers
Ambience✔️
Spacious in Mumbai terms
Food✔️
The best dish for me at the hotel was not a non-veg dish but Jira rice! Tandoori chicken was good. Panjabi chicken curry was bit sour(tomatoes overload). Rotis were good too. Quantity was tricky. (Full Punjabi chicken curry was enough for 3, but half was not enough for even 1)
Service✔️
Fast service
Affordable✔️
Bill was surprisingly below our expectations
