Had my first experience of watching two international football matches (of FIFA U17 WC) through our very own Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium (a.k.a Horuhojai locally). Everything is world class. The only negative thing is that if non-stop heavy rain falls upon the pitch, sometimes the grasses get rooted out & this was seen during the Quarter final stage of that same U17 WC. Moreover, a little more renovation (like adding a round roof covering the entire stadium) will further enhance its beauty.

This stadium is also known as Sarusajai Stadium.It is one of largest football stadium in Guwahati.It does have proper infrastructure.I had a great time watching ISL match here.However there are no canteen or eateries inside.Also no valid parking here. Do visit to enjoy matches.

Home of the Highlanders. Irrespective of the on field performances, the atmosphere, especially in the South-east stand is beyond words. The supporters' club, names the Highlander Brigade makes you feel like you're in Europe. Chants, banners, tifos, drums, megaphones...like I said, beyond words. You just need to experience this - kind of defines passion and perseverance.
