my first trip to datia wasnt pleasent to say the least. so i arrived at this hotel late at night after ratan royal inn(another place not to go) dissmissed my oyo confirmation n rudely sent me away saying they dont abide by oyo. i gave 1300 (very overpriced..sangeeta hotel 20 steps from this place is half rate as i learned later) as it was late and i really needed a room.next day i asked him for bill..he said 999+gst ka banega(smbody named aman) i said ok...1180 is close to 1300 so i was ok.then i asked if i decide to stay another day whts the cost coz i can easily find smthing way cheaper for room which has no geyser, door doesnt shut , has indian style toilet,and is smaller than my bedroom. he said pay 1000 with no bill. i showed him oyo confirmation for hotel surya for 800 and asked him to give me around that.he said confirm with goibibo and i can do 934 coz thats our rate.i said u r asking 1000 lets final it on 934..1300 with bill and non billed 934 seemed fine. the next day to check out he wasnt there..he was there every second for whole 2 days but now he was gone. maybe the owner got whiff of me i guess. so he made a bill of around 2900...2600 for 2 days +gst...i said its 1300+934 with first day bill...he called this guy, and he bailed totally..i talked to him, he is like i shud hav booked thru the goibibo site..then i wud get discount..thats not we talked .i made it very clear to him i will not pay 1300 for the 2nd day for that room..first day was becoz of emergency. anyways the owner tried his best insulting me ...main badtameezi pe aa jaun sare paise dene padenge...i said i will give , i hve to go home, but whts wrong is wrong , ur guy bailed on his words. i stood on that and he finally agreed ..but pretending that he had been wronged in the process. i was not surprised as all hotels here have the same reputation. just if u come here get in writing what ever amount has been discussed. so that u dont have to face such hassle. and this goes for every hotel here. no need to be nice..coz no body will in return. u can check reviews of all the hotels here for rude behavior, its nothing new. be aware on your part. and get things in writing first.
