Good place to say in gogatok gor solo traveller in the centre of the city .The only problem is sinhle washroom to be shared among so many people otherwise place is clean.
Bar is downstairs wifi is available.
Good place for budget traveller
I stayed here for 600 rs per night.

Very friendly and helpful owner. Indeed a nice person. The walk to the hostel takes you through disgusting path of dirty and stinky stairs, though plus there is not traditional bathroom but the squat typical for some places in Asia...

When I came here everything was pretty perfect. The manager allowed me to use the washing machine and the kitchen including the blender. The first time since my trip I was able to make my own food, which is not available in restaurants.
Then the other guests started telling me that I couldn’t do these things and some told me that it’s only allowed if you do it secretly. Especially one guest, who manipulates everything. The wife of the owner came sometimes, but she never spoke any word to me. So I got very confused. To make a long story short.
We had no water for 3 days. I contacted the owner everyday and the third day he finally decides to solve the problem in 10 minutes.
Only during high season the owners stay here. So now it’s a place where you can party all night long, play loud music, smoke inside, use wiet and drugs. Not so great if you wish to sleep at night and breathe fresh air, instead of getting long cancer. No one wants to apply some basic rules, to make it a good place for everyone. They are afraid to lose guests.
The steep stairs down to the property become so slippery when it rains, that it’s seriously dangerous. I felt down and couldn’t walk for a few days.
Anyway this is a short summary of my experience and I will not make it any longer. Only stay here if you want to party and as a traveller who also likes to sleep, I recommend to stay somewhere else.

Stay here only if you are broke to the core and expect only what you pay for.
The only advantage of this hostel is its location at MG Marg a popular shopping street.
It is located right next to a public toilet, very untidy area .
Hostel has two rooms with 3 and 4 beds that are just ok for a bag packer but has only one small common toilet with bathroom a size for midget.
Most of the facilities like kettle , mosquito repellent don’t work. The owners we not there and managed by a boy who is loaded with lots of work elsewhere who says “I have other guests to look after” when called for any help in the hostel.
I had to checkout and look for a better stay to enjoy my vacation in Gangtok.
Pictures are of Mg Marg and I didn’t click any pics of the hostel as they were not worth at all.

A budget sleep right on the busy MG road. The hosts are warm and lovely. Met some nice people had a good time. Definitely recommended. If only there was some arrangements to dry the clothes at the hostel.
