If you are looking forward for the flavour of bengali cuisine, then this is the place. It has great options to choose for. I personally loved the Mutton kosha, grilled rasogolla and hilsha sarsho. The food is amazing no doubt. Ambience is also quite nice. You will find a hand pulling rickshaw in the entrance which adds to the feel.Over all you will love the time and food to the fullest over here.

It's a place based east Indian cuisine. They almost cover all the eastern states of India. The ambience is simple but got a touch of East India. The major attraction is the hand pulled rickshaw of Kolkata. Food and staff are good. After placing the order they served two plates of complimentary banana chips and nimki (Bengali) appetizers with smoked aubergine dip and creamy and coconutty shrimp dip. We've ordered Mango chicken Tikka, Dohneiihong with Tawa roti. The Tikka was very tender it melts in the mouth but couldn't felt any mango flavor in it. Dohneiihong is a pork dish of Meghalaya, it's server with sesame on top, something new for me, liked it. Lastly we ordered date palm cheesecake but unfortunately it's not available. A must visit place to discover the taste of East India authentic cuisine.

"Life is either a great adventure or nothing". A gastronomical Adventure is the best journey of them all. Read on to know about my culinary expedition as I explored East India through its dishes staying at Bangalore itself.
Eat Water is a relatively new restaurant located on the posh Lavelle Road. It has a unique and Innovate Concept. Aptly, it derives it name from the Bengali Phrase Jol Khabo. Authentic flavors are modified to suite the palate of everyone. The intensity had been toned down and reduced to subtle hints. It is a modern version adapted of the traditional tastes and techniques that can be appealing and accepted globally.
Food- Commendable. An extraordinary menu that is updated every few months. Quintessential comfort food that is not heavy on the tummy. Only impeccable quality ingredients are used. Impressive Plating. Enigma or mystery of eating an unfamiliar dish was exciting.
To begin, we were Treated to some famous appetizing banana chips and kuchi nimki that I couldn't stop munching on. Accompanied by the four types of veg and non veg chutneys/ dips, it was a pleasure to indulge in.
I loved the outburst of richness in the Shukto Mousse but did not like the bitter aftertaste.
Next was the remarkable Chop Platter that is an essential part of the street kitchens in the Eastern States. It is basically a cutlet/ nugget that is Marinated well, crispy and fried to perfection with a delicious stuffing of chicken, fish, eggs etc that is determined by the shape.
Unfortunately the much talked about popular Mutton Pora wasn't available.
Aubergine Meat Boat was phenomenal. The Minced mutton was soft, zesty, juicy and had a harmonious blend of explosive flavors.
For the main course white puris with Kosha Gravy was Outstanding. Taste, texture and spice was top notch making a fantastic feast.
Biryani was excellent. Aromatic long rice with succulent pieces of malai prawns mixed brilliantly in a mustard cream base sauce.
Desserts were incredible. A delightful Culmination to a superb meal. The cheesecake is different from the regular pastry form. More of a pudding that has the right balance of sweetness providing heavenly bliss. My favorite was the baked rosogollah. Hot and fresh in bed of condensed milk that melts in the mouth. It can bring a smile on your face no matter how bad your mood is. A special mention to the exceptional tender coconut and date palm ice creams. Words wouldn't do justice in describing it. (7/10)
Service- Splendid. Staff is hospitable and courteous. Waiters are efficient, attentive, knowledgeable and well trained. However, it is a little bit slow. Can be better to provide a fine dining experience. Valet Parking Available. (7/10)
Ambience- Simple yet elegant interior decor. Amazing choice of comfortable designer furniture. Spectacular carts and benches from the bygone age at the entrance adds to the attractive look showing glimpses of the heritage. Beautiful paintings in frames adorn the wall. Nicely planned layout. Compact arrangement. Fabulous lights and open glass kitchen. A calm and peaceful atmosphere. (6/10)
Overall- (7/10) A wonderful experience that left me with a lot of knowledge and surpassed expectations. Economical pocket friendly pricing with value for money. If your curious to try out new dishes and want to get an essence of Bengali cuisine then this is definitely the place to try. A hidden gem!
