My wife went under her guidance during pre COVID. A long 9 months was great for us. She was non-talkative at times but when it comes to treatment she was absolutely great! One particular instance we will never forget, when we paid the full fees, she returned 500 rs note with a smile saying - no need. I would say if there is any complication, Dr Sharmistha is one of very best in Kolkata. Since then we moved away, but if needed, we will certainly consult her. Thank you Maam.

I knew we have found a very good gynaecologist when Dr. Sharmishtha Patra very efficiently cured my recurring UTI in 2019. I didn’t have any problem thereafter. A month back, I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids and related complications. I was advised by her to surgically remove the fibroids. Dr. Patra was very positive and confident in her approach and assured me that my reproductive system will remain unaffected. Since there were multiple large fibroids an open abdominal myomectomy was needed. Dr. Patra did a wonderful job and successfully removed all the fibroids. She checked on me post surgery and was very satisfied herself with the surgery which gave me and my husband an immense sense of relief. She also explained us diagrammatically the removal process of the fibroids. I was discharged in 3 days post surgery. In my experience, Dr. Patra is not only the best gynaecologist in Kolkata, but one of the best doctors I have ever come across, and I have known a few. She is calm, methodical and a thorough professional. She listens to the problem and provides best advice. She is firm but fair and always to the point in her consultations. She is available online if needed. She responds to all the queries very politely. I highly recommend her.

Firstly I would like to thank Dr. Patra for her consultation during my wife's pregnancy and successfully performing cesarean delivery. My wife was under Dr. Patra from day 1 and we both are very thankful to her. As a doctor we found her very caring, polite, listens to the patient queries and answer them in details.Her constant encouragement when we were tensed gave us courage and she was always there when we needed. Infact on the day of delivery, my wife was admitted to the hospital under emergency situation and as soon as she was informed of the condition by the hospital authority she was there in the hospital and successfully performed cesarean delivery. After the surgery she nicely explained the condition of the mother and baby to our family.Post delivery as well she mentored us and we are following her guidance. We have now become a proud parents of a baby boy. In future also we won't think twice to revisit her for consultation. We would strongly recommend Dr. Patra and would rate her as one of the best obstetrician & gynecologist doctor. We wish her all the very best in her family life as well as in her professional career as a doctor.Thank you once again.
